PAP ADD IN MORE FOREIGNERS IN 2013

In lieu with the 6.9 million population target, the PAP government have added in 27,000 foreign workers to replace Singaporeans. According to the latest statistics by the Ministry of Manpower [Source], the spike in foreign workers was led mostly by S-pass holders and work permit holders.
Talent no more
Traditionally, E-pass holders command a higher salary grade as they are considered talents holding positions of professionals, managers, engineers and executives. This year, the number of E-pass holders have dropped significantly because employers are not willing to pay $200 more for the new minimum E-pass salary of $3,000. Most E-pass holders drawing $2,800 under the previous foreign pass salary regime have instead downgraded to S-pass holders as a result.
Unrepentant PAP
The 6.9 million population target was met with ferocious objections by Singaporeans with an unprecedented 5000 turnout for a protest against the White Paper on Population. The angry reactions had the PAP government scurrying for defense with the state-controlled media Straits Times calling it just a “planning parameter” [Source]. While one would expect the PAP to start reducing the number of foreign labor in Singapore, the latest statistics have proven otherwise. It appears that the PAP is not afraid of Singaporeans, and is still actively continuing taking in more foreign labor to replace Singaporeans.
Over the past 10 years under Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong, the population of Singapore have spiked by 25% from some 4 million figure to today’s 5.31 million, despite a falling birthrate. The influx of foreign labor have depressed Singaporeans’ salaries especially for the low income, whose salaries were stagnated throughout the decade under Lee Hsien Loong [Source]. Singaporean professionals, managers, engineers and executives taking the middle income range sees their job taken up by foreign labor mainly from China, India and Philippines. More Singaporeans were retrenched or forced to take a pay cut because employers have the option of hiring a cheap S-pass holder at just $2,000.
Despite the negative impact of the influx of foreign labor, Singaporeans continue to vote PAP into power every election. Some 60% of the Singaporeans remain daft and ignorant of the genocide happening to Singaporeans. As such, Singaporeans will continue to see more foreign influx and eventually be rendered useful only for National Service duties, while foreigners enjoy a free ride and cash in on Singapore’s prosperity and security. New citizens and Permanent Residents do not need to serve NS despite given equal rights as a NS-serving Singaporean male, but unfortunately, so long the PAP is in power, the inequality will continue to fester.
