COMPANIES MUST STOP HIRING FOREIGNERS IN MANAGEMENT POSITIONS NOW!

I would like again to sound alarm bells that many of our public and private companies are still going ahead to take in foreigners as scholars and PMETs. The result is more foreigners having scholarships and flooding our public and private companies as PMETs then hiring more foreigners.

This is not right, the locals have paid many taxes and helped build our national companies up to today. We need to bring more awareness to the society that long term continuous hiring of foreigners is not a solution and more locals must be given the scholarships and not foreigners. That is how companies get bought up by foreigners or policies become more pro-foreigner.

We need to bring foreigner numbers down, especially at the PMET and top level jobs. Otherwise these nationals will continue to say our locals are no good and their own nationals are good. Some foreigners come from countries that have a strong caste system and they may not hire according to merits like we try to do in Singapore.

It also says a lot that companies take in foreigners... does that mean our education system has failed us and only foreigners have the skills and better qualifications?

We also need to tighten rules on all these foreign employment agencies especially the job portals and monitor their employment activities. If more foreigners are engaged as recruiters, they will shun our locals' resumes and put only their nationals into the job market. I have seen that happening to Giant and big supermarkets and even IT jobs and construction etc etc.

While foreigners continue to draw a high income, they also enjoy tax relief like GST, when they leave the custom they can take back their money. Recently our government has given rebates but are based on housing and income. However, foreigners even if they are living in paid for housing and utilities, maid service, expat packages and other perks can still get their GST return to them at customs while our locals even if they live in expensive homes still pay GST but no relief for them. Why this discrimination?
